Terms of Service
Version 1.0 · Effective date: 14 October 2026
In short: Flylish is for you as an individual, at work or in daily life; don't misuse it. AI can make mistakes, so check anything important yourself. Subscriptions are bought through the App Store or Google Play. We don't claim ownership of what you save.
01 About these terms
By using Flylish (the phone app, browser extension, Windows and Mac apps, the reader and flylish.com), you agree to these terms. Flylish is provided by Yuanjun Zheng, an independent developer in New Zealand ("we", "us").
These terms are available in English and Chinese. If the two differ, the English version applies.
02 Your account
- You must be at least 13 to sign up. If you're under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to use Flylish.
- Sign up with an email address that is yours and that you can access. Each account is for one person.
- Keep your password safe. If you think someone else is using your account, tell us straight away.
03 Acceptable use
Flylish is for you as an individual, at work or in daily life. Please don't:
- share your account or resell the service;
- use scripts or automated tools to make bulk requests to, or scrape, the service;
- try to get around free allowances or paid limits;
- crack or decompile Flylish;
- upload anything illegal or that infringes someone else's rights;
- do anything that interferes with how Flylish runs.
04 AI-generated content
- Translations, explanations and rewrites are generated by AI. They can be wrong and are for reference only.
- Check important emails, contracts and documents yourself before you send them.
- Flylish answers only questions about English, including what the English you see means, what it asks you to do, and the rules or customs behind it. It doesn't answer questions unrelated to English.
- It doesn't give personal medical, legal or financial advice. It can help you understand what such a document says, but for what to do, ask a professional.
05 Your content
We don't claim ownership of the words, notes and text you save; you keep whatever rights you have in them. You allow us to store and process them to provide the service, including sharing them with the providers who help us run it (listed in the Privacy Policy). We don't publish your content or use it for advertising.
06 Free version, subscriptions and purchases
- Flylish has a free version. Free allowances and features may change; we'll tell you before they do.
- Subscriptions and credit packs are bought through the App Store or Google Play, at the price shown in the store.
- Subscriptions renew automatically. To stop renewal, turn it off in your store's subscription settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Credit packs can't be transferred to anyone else, and any unused credits end when you delete your account. Whether they expire is stated in the store listing when you buy them.
- Refunds: for App Store purchases, refunds are handled by Apple and we can't issue them directly. For Google Play purchases, you can ask Google, or email us and we'll handle it through Google Play. None of this affects your rights under consumer law (section 08).
- Deleting your Flylish account doesn't cancel your subscription. Cancel it in the store first.
07 Changes, transfer and shutdown
- We keep improving Flylish; features may be added, changed or removed. Sometimes we need downtime for maintenance.
- We may transfer these terms to whoever takes over Flylish. We'll tell you before that happens.
- If we decide to shut down the whole service, we'll give at least 30 days' notice in the app and on the website, and tell you how to get your data.
- If you break these terms, we may limit or close your account. For minor issues, we'll warn you first.
08 Liability
- We do our best to keep Flylish working well, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or available.
- To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to the greater of NZ$50 or the amount you paid for Flylish (including through the App Store or Google Play) in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
- If you are a consumer (you didn't acquire Flylish for the purposes of a business), nothing in these terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the consumer laws where you live.
09 Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law. If there's a dispute, we'd like to talk it through first. The courts of New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
10 Changes to these terms
We'll post any material change on this website and email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Flylish after that, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, you can stop using Flylish and delete your account at any time.
11 If you got Flylish from the App Store
If you downloaded Flylish from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to you.
